The Artistry of François Loup
A concert highlighting the extraordinary career of bass–baritone, director, and teacher François Loup, on the occasion of the Naxos CD release of Opera Lafayette's recording of Sacchini’s Oedipe à Colone with Mr. Loup in the title role. He will be joined with Ryan Brown, conductor, students from the Maryland Opera Studio, and the Opera Lafayette Chamber Orchestra.
A champagne reception with the artists (courtesy of Pernod Ricard USA) will take place immediately after the performance, at which time Mr. Loup will also autograph this premiere CD. A major grant from the Grand Marnier Foundation supported the recording of this CD.
$85 ticket includes the champagne reception, a complimentary copy of Opera Lafayette's Oedipe à Colone CD, and a chance to win a special door prize - a pair of round-trip tickets to any European destination via Paris on Air France.
